Appointment made to Diocese of Ossory after Bishop Coll departure - Kilkenny Live

Bishop Ger Nash, Bishop of Ferns, has been appointed as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Ossory until a permanent successor to Bishop Niall Coll is selected by Pope Leo.

A native of Tulla in County Clare, Bishop Nash has served as Bishop of Ferns since June 2021 and will continue to serve the Diocese.

Bishop Niall Coll was formally ordained as the new Bishop of Raphoe in his native Donegal over the weekend.

He was ordained a Bishop by the Archbishop Dermot Farrell in Kilkenny on January 22, 2023.
