Garda investigations are ongoing after a child and an adult male were hospitalised in two separate incidents in Kilkenny on Wednesday.
An infant boy sustained serious injuries following an incident involving two dogs at a residential property in Callan..
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3pm.
The boy is receiving treatment at Children's Health Ireland, Crumlin and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The scene is currently preserved pending a technical examination.
The dogs have been removed by the Dog Warden and arrangements are being made with the local veterinary services for their euthanisation.
Meanwhile, gardaí have confirmed to Kilkenny Live that an adult male, aged in his 40s, is receiving treatment for 'serious injuries' at St Luke’s General Hospital following a collision in the city centre.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a collision on John Street Lower.
"The collision involved a motor vehicle and a mobility device," gardaí confirmed in a statement.
Investigations are ongoing.
