A driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after being reported for dangerous driving on the M9 in Kilkenny on Sunday evening.
Gardaí say they received reports of an articulated HGV “all over the road” before the vehicle was intercepted at Paulstown.
The truck is understood to have caused damage to a drive-thru hoarding at a local petrol station, according to garda reports.

The driver was stopped by members of the Thomastown Roads Policing Unit (RPU) and subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
According to gardaí, the driver provided a breath sample which measured 11 times the legal limit of 9 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath for a specified driver.

The driver is due to appear before the courts at a later date.
