Kilkenny’s Newpark Hotel took a starring role on national television this week as its dinosaur-themed family attraction, Jurassic Newpark, featured in the opening episode of a new Irish-language series airing on CÚLA, TG4’s dedicated children’s channel.
Launching on Tuesday and running for 12 weeks, Siar Linn a CÚLA showcases experiences from across Ireland through the Irish language. The first episode, titled Páirc na nDineasár, places Jurassic Newpark firmly in the spotlight, offering viewers a glimpse into the distinctive family destination.
Niall Dunne, General Manager at Newpark Hotel, said the team was proud to see the attraction featured as the series opener.

“Tá áthas orainn Jurassic Newpark a fheiceáil sa chéad chlár riamh de Siar Linn a CÚLA. Is deis iontach é seo chun an méid atá ar fáil againn anseo i gCill Chainnigh a léiriú do theaghlaigh ar fud na tíre,” a dúirt sé.
“Tá Jurassic Newpark anois ina chuid mhór de thaithí Newpark, ague is aoibhinn linn é sin a fheiceáil ar an scáileán, go háirithe trí mheán na Gaeilge.”
“We’re delighted to see Jurassic Newpark featured in the very first episode of Siar Linn a CÚLA. It’s a great opportunity to showcase what we offer here in Kilkenny to families across the country,” Niall said.
“Jurassic Newpark has become a huge part of the Newpark experience, and it’s lovely to see that captured on screen, particularly through the Irish language,” he concluded.
