Garda Finbarr Corkery completed his final tour of duty at Bennettsbridge Garda Station yesterday.
In his 30 years in the job, Finbarr, a Corkonian served in Store Street, Waterford, Thomastown and 25 years in Bennettsbridge.
"For those of us who have worked with Finbarr we'll miss him but will definitely stay in touch as he commences the next chapter in his life," a garda spokesperson said.
"Good luck Finbarr, wishing you the best."
