Fran Grincell's annual kick-a-thon has already raised nearly €10,000 for Cois Nore Cancer Support - and there's still time left to support!
The local property agent's been out kicking from 6.30pm to 8pm every evening since last Monday in the outdoor seating area in Parliament Street as part of the fundraising campaign.
As the fundraiser nears its final day this Friday, he is continuing to reach out for support.
"The generosity of local people to the fundraiser so far has been immense," Fran told Kilkenny Live.
"Lots of people have stopped by to support and donate and the atmosphere has been one of true community.
"Cois Nore does incredible work locally so every little helps. If you've a bit of change to give, they'll put it to great use and it'll definitely make a difference."
Cois Nore is currently the only cancer support centre in Kilkenny that serves the community of the city and county.
We all know that cancer touches many peoples’ lives and Cois Nore provides compassionate, practical and emotional support for local people and their families who are dealing with the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
All services provided at the local centre are free of charge and require funding to stay that way.
