Popular stores are recalling a hair styling product due to a risk of electric shock.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), TJX Ireland Unlimited Company t/a TK Maxx and Homesense is recalling the Elgetec Professional Curling Wand Irons 6-in-1/ Elehot Professional Curling Wand Irons 6-in-1 (model number KR-D03B).
A risk of electric shock has been identified due to the breakdown isolation not meeting insulation safety requirements.
The affected product was available for purchase from February 2022 to May 2022.
The number of affected products in the Republic of Ireland have not been confirmed, however it may have been sold to customers given its availability.
Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.
