The annual litter pick in Tullahought in County Kilkenny had a great turnout on Saturday with lots of new volunteers.
Led by the Duggan Clan who commenced the clean up on the R698 on Friday afternoon, the area was extended when the road from Barnatrasna to the Mast in Blackbog was delittered for the very first time.

The weekend’s collection that was wetter and heavier than usual, yielded all the usual fast food wrappers, vapes, cans and bottles although in lesser numbers it included some bags of Orchard Thieves cider cans.
It also included a toaster, pillows, a TV, part of a Dean Martin CD, car mats and black plastic.

The works will continue for the next few days as the volunteers unavailable at the weekend delitter what will be well over 30km of roads and walks when completed.
