IKEA HAS launched six new mobile pick-up points as part of a collaboration with Tesco Ireland.
Tesco Ireland and Ikea have teamed up to deliver furniture orders to various stores for collection.
Three new sites will launch in the supermarket chain's branches in Youghal, Cork, Newcastle West, Limerick and Ballinasloe, Galway, while in the coming week, three more sites will be rolled out in Tramore, Waterford, Clonmel, Tipperary and Distillery Road, Wexford.
Customers can place their order online and select a collection service from the Tesco car park. A designated date and time will be given to the customer for them to collect their Ikea furniture.
The fast-furniture retailer has made several moves in recent years to widen its presence in Ireland.
Apart from the full-sized shop in Ballymun, there are now four 'plan-and-order points' in the country - in Douglas Shopping Centre (Cork), St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre (Dublin), Scotch Hall Shopping Centre (Drogheda) and Naas.
A €15 collection fee applies to orders below €200.
