A member of the Defence Forces has been arrested following the discovery of illegal substances at a Cork barracks.
A search of sections of Collins Barracks was recently carried out in collaboration with An Garda Síochána following an investigation led by military police.
Illegal substances and cash were discovered during the operation, which led to the arrest of a Defence Forces member.
This member is currently under investigation by An Garda Síochána.
Additionally, a Defence Forces vehicle was handed over to Gardaí for examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
