WATCH: RTE Late Late show rumours swirl amid Taylor Swift clues

RTE Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty has taken to social media to tease a potential guest for Friday night's show in an entertaining clip.

The popular talk show returns to screens this Friday night at its usual time of 9.35pm on RTE One and as has been the case since Kielty took the reigns, show bosses have opted not to announce the guests until the show airs.

They have, however, teased guests in social media clips in the days leading up to the show.

A video posted to the show's social media accounts on Tuesday may have a clue for eagle-eyed fans, as Kielty dons a Kansas City Chiefs American football jersey and dances around to Taylor Swift music in an RTE dressing room.

The caption on the video reads: "He’s just really excited for a new @taylorswift13 album this week. Isn’t it that right @PatricKielty?"

Adding an extra clue to the cryptic video, Kielty's Kansas City Chiefs jersey is adorned with the name and squad number of Swift's Super Bowl-winning boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

34-year-old megastar Swift is set to release her highly anticipated new album, The Tortured Poets Department, this week adding more fuel to a potential appearance on Friday night's show.

One person replied to ask: "Is she on the show?"

Another added: "Fine. I’ll take 2 tickets."

The Late Late Show airs on RTE One at 9.35pm this Friday night, April 19.
