A woman and two men have been arrested following the seizure of a loaded gun in Dublin in the early hours of this Thursday morning.
Gardaí attached to Crumlin garda station have confirmed they made three arrests and seized a firearm following in incident at around 1am.
"At approximately, 12.45am, gardaí were on patrol in the Crumlin district when they observed a car which drove off when they saw gardaí. The car cut out on Kilfenora Road, Kimmage and all three persons in the vehicle were arrested and a loaded sawn-off shotgun seized," said a spokesperson.

The firearm and vehicle were both seized and all three suspects are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at garda stations in the Dublin Region.
The woman is aged in her 30s while the two men are aged in their 20s and 30s.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
