Man arrested as kilos of cocaine discovered hidden in passenger's luggage at Dublin Airport

A man in his 20s has been arrested after almost three kilos of cocaine were discovered hidden in his luggage after landing at Dublin Airport on Friday.

Revenue officers made the discovery of 2.8kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €210,000 after searching a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Lisbon, Portugal.

The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at a Garda Station in Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
