The New York Times (NYT) has named Irish butter brand Kerrygold the 'butteriest butter.'

In an article reviewing the 'best butter', Kerrygold was ranked the best for both baking and eating.

The article, written by Lesley Stockton and Ciara Murray Jordan for the Wirecutter, a product review section of the NYT, revealed:

"The experience of unwrapping a brick of Kerrygold Salted Butter is almost transcendent. Peeling back the golden foil, catching a glimpse of the similarly golden butter beneath, and you’re reaching for a knife and a slice of bread before you even know what you’re doing.

In a video shared by creator Garron Noone to Instagram on the subject, he said: "Hon the fu**ing Irish, we actually dominate everything we fu**ing attempt.
