Eight people taken to hospital for smoke inhalation after fire in Bray

Eight people have been taken to hospital after a fire at a residential premises in Co Wicklow.

The residents were taken to hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

Gardai and fire services attended the scene on the Lower Dargle Road in Bray on Monday morning after being alerted to the fire at around 5am.

No serious injuries have been reported.

The fire has been extinguished and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
