The funeral details for Pope Francis have now been announced by the Vatican following the Pontiff's death at the age of 88 on Easter Monday.
The first Latin American Pope, Pope Francis, suffered a stroke on Monday following months of ill health.
Despite this, his death still came as a shock to many as he made his last public appearance the weekend of his death for the Vatican's Easter celebrations.

It has been confirmed that the funeral will take place on Saturday, 27 April at 9am (Irish time). This will also mark the beginning of the first of nine days of mourning.
The Vatican has also confirmed that Pope Francis' body will be taken to St Peter's Basilica for public viewing on Wednesday morning from 9am.
At the moment, his body is laid out in the chapel of the Santa Marta residence where he had lived.
