One lucky Irish player got far more than they bargained for in special EuroMillions raffle draw

Surprise twist turns €5k EuroMillions prize into whopping €255k payday for Irish player

One Irish EuroMillions player has scooped a staggering €255,000 after their €5,000 prize was topped up by €250,000 in a special raffle draw.

The windfall came as part of a limited-time EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle promotion, where one lucky winner in every Tuesday and Friday draw during May receives a top-up of €250,000 in addition to the usual €5,000 raffle prize.

While the latest ticket was bought in Dublin, the National Lottery is urging players across the country to check their numbers as the countdown continues for four more life-changing winners.

Friday's winning ticket was a Quick Pick bought on the day of the draw at McHughes Stores on St Patrick’s Road in Walkinstown, Dublin 12. The winning raffle number was I-SCK-25765.

Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery, said: “While there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot last night worth a staggering €151 million, over 63,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. This includes one Raffle Ticket winner of the Ireland Only Raffle special draw receiving €255,000.

“It’s always exciting to see players win these life-enhancing prizes, and we can’t wait to hear how this one plans to celebrate!”

The National Lottery says there’s still plenty of time to win, with four more €250,000 top-up prizes guaranteed before the month ends. It’s part of a nine-draw promo that sees one raffle player in each draw receive the six-figure boost.

The National Lottery is encouraging players to check their tickets and, if they hold the winning code, to contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie.
