Penalty points for driver of cement lorry after being caught using their phone on busy M50

An Garda Síochána in Dublin were patrolling the M50 this morning, May 29, when they made a shocking discovery.

Gardaí on the roads came across a driver of a cement lorry using their mobile phone while travelling along the busy motorway.

The authorities confirmed that the vehicle was halted, with the driver being issued a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. 

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in Dublin said, "Please be considerate of other road users and refrain from using your phone while driving."
