An Garda Siochana member sent to hospital following hit and run while on patrol

A member of An Garda Siochana was hit by an e-scooter while on patrol

During a routine patrol Gardaí responded to report of an e-bike causing a disturbance in Dublin 15 on Friday 30th May 2025.

At around 2.30pm, a male Garda approached two males on the e-bike directing them to dismount.

The e-bike then accelerated striking the Garda who was taken to hospital and subsequently discharged following treatment for non life-threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the e-bike fled the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time is asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
