RIP Niamh Cotter
Tributes have poured in after an Irish nurse died unexpectedly while working as a nurse in the UK.
Niamh Cotter was from County Cork and was living in Glanworth in the UK at the time of her passing on the 4th September 2025.
Niamh was a well respected nurse at The Royal Free Hospital and has been remembered as a friendly, kind and loving women who will be missed by many people.
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and loved Niamh, with one mourner writing,
"Remembering Niamh at this very sad time. Had the pleasure of her company on her last trip home. Such a character, and a great nurse. Thinking of all the Cotter family at this very sad time. May Niamh rest in peace x".

Another message said, "My deepest sympathies to Niamh's parents, sister and brother and extended families and friends at this unbelievable sad time. Many a great time had with Niamh in Hendon , living upstairs/downstairs from each other. Such craic we all had. Your infectious laugh and joyous craziness will never be forgotten. I hope you have the best seat up there xx rest in peace dear friend xx".
"I can’t find the right words, it’s still so hard to come to terms with. My mind keeps going back to the last picture of you I hold in my head, and it’s difficult to believe you’re gone. Please know how much you were appreciated, not just for your care and dedication, but for the kindness and warmth you shared. You will be deeply missed," another person said.
"A beautiful girl always that beautiful smile that would lift your spirits no matter how you were feeling always loved our chats and meeting you on your trips home you loved Glanworth as much as Glanworth loved you. you will be deeply missed by your adoring parents sister brother's extended family and your nursing colleagues and patients .God bless you Niamh you will live forever in our hearts. God bless you Niamh Rest easy," another tribute read," another person said.
