A famous fast food chain, known by many for its fried chicken, has confirmed they will be opening their doors in Ireland.
Popeyes will open in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, this spring and it is reported that more locations are to be announced later this year, including, what has been described as, a megastore.
The company said it will create up to 500 jobs in Ireland this year, with more planned to come as Popeyes hopes to grow its Irish audience.

The brand was first founded in New Orleans in 1972 and has since become known worldwide, now having about 5,000 restaurants in roughly 40 countries.
Popeyes became even more well-known after it was revealed that they catered Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s wedding in 2008.
There are currently two Popeyes restaurants operating in the north of Ireland, located in Belfast and Antrim. They opened in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
