Investigations are underway after an elderly cyclist died after being struck by a truck in Dublin.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision which occurred in Balbriggan at approximately 12:40pm this Monday.
"Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision, on Dublin Street (R132), Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. A male cyclist, (aged in his 70s) was pronounced deceased at the scene," said a spokesperson.

Gardai sat the local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be now be arranged.
A male, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene.
Motorists are being advised the scene remains preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road is currently closed.
Local traffic diversions are in place.
Investigations are ongoing and gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were travelling in the area of Dublin Street (R132), Balbriggan, Co. Dublin on Monday between 12pm and 1pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
