Kilkenny city affected by Irish Water works today

Traffic lights in place

There will be no water in the centre of Kilkenny today for some Irish Water customers as essential works are taking place. There will also be traffic disruption.

As part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Upper Patrick Street, Waterford Road, Coote's Lane, Jacob Street and surrounding areas in Kilkenny City.

Works are scheduled to be carried out from 10am until 6pm today, 10 December.

Irish Water recommend that you allow 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.

Mains repair works may also affect supply to Patrick Street, Ormonde Road, Village Inn, Village Court, Chapel Avenue, The Old Schoolyard and surrounding areas in Kilkenny City.

A traffic light system will be in place for the duration of the works.

Works are scheduled to take place from 10am until 6pm today, 10 December.

Supply may take 2-3 hours to fully return to all affected properties.
