Kilkenny can expect wintery weather this week!

Wrap up warm - Met Eireann says Kilkenny may see snow showers this week!

This morning, Monday, Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow snow/ ice warning for all of Ireland, including Kilkenny.

The forecast predicts it will be "very cold this week with scattered wintry showers, frequent across the southwest, west and north. Some accumulations of snow are expected. There will be widespread frost at night with icy stretches on untreated surfaces.

"There is the possibility of a more significant spell of sleet/ snow on Thursday."

Met Eireann say this warning will be updated at 10am tomorrow, Tuesday, January 29.

Valid from Tuesday, January 29, 6am, to Saturday, February 2, at 6pm.
