A grant of €10,000 has been awarded to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer to complete works on the external walls.
"This scheme supports the conservation of historic buildings and is managed jointly by the National Built Heritage Service (NBHS) in the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, and a network of conservation staff in the 31 local authorities, including expert Architectural Conservation Officers," commented Fianna Fáil councillor, Michael McCarthy.
