Cllr John Brennan
Local Fine Gael representative, Cllr John Brennan has expressed heartfelt thanks to council colleagues for their support during a recent period of ill-health.
The Clogh native was first elected to Kilkenny County Council in 1989 and has been involved with many local community organisations over the past 35 years including; the Castlecomer Town Development Association, the Castlecomer Enterprise Group and the Colreg Christian Housing Association
"I would just like to thank everyone for all their good wishes and support after my recent illness," Cllr Brennan told members remotely at the March sitting of the Castlecomer Municipal District on Monday.

"The recovery is going very well so I hope to be joining ye again soon. I'm delighted to be back," he added.
Party colleagues and councillors from across the political divide united at the meeting to share their best wishes for Cllr Brennan.
"We're delighted that you're well enough to come back and we look forward to seeing you sooner rather than later," Cathaoirleach of the Castlecomer Municipal District, Cllr Mary Hilda Cavanagh (Fine Gael) commented.
"Continued improvement in your health," she concluded.
