North-West Kilkenny TD, Michael Lowry
Independent North Kilkenny councillor, Maurice Shortall, has described TD Michael Lowry as an 'absolute embarrassment' and claims to 'feel sorry' for people living in parts of North-West Kilkenny represented by the long standing public representative.
Mr Shortall was elected for the very first time in the Castlecomer LEA last June.
A screenshot of Deputy Lowry 'giving the two fingers' to People Before Profit's Paul Murphy inside the Dáil has gone viral on social media over the past 24 hours.
"This absolute embarrassment of a man was elected in this area to serve some of North Kilkenny in the recent General Election," Cllr Shortall posted to social media.

"Feel sorry for the people in Urlingford, Freshford and other areas of North Kilkenny.
"We must ensure we take North Kilkenny back for the next General Election."
