ICYMI: Kilkenny community say emotional goodbye to deeply loved priest

Kilkenny clergyman gives his view on the possibility of married or female priests becoming reality

A large gathering of parishioners and friends came together at the Tullaroan Community Centre on Saturday evening following Mass to celebrate Fr Patsy Guilfoyle.

The occasion marked his retirement as parish priest of Tullaroan after more than 20 years of dedicated service, as well as his 80th birthday.

It was a warm and joyful tribute to a much-loved figure in the community. Fr Patsy is wished many happy years in his retirement.
