The N77 Ballyragget to Ballynaslee Improvement Scheme was officially opened on Thursday by Minister Jerry Buttimer, alongside Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr Mary Hilda Cavanagh and local councillors.
The 2.44km upgrade delivers major improvements in road safety and traffic flow on this key national route, including safer overtaking opportunities and an upgraded entrance to Tirlán’s Ballyragget facility. Following just over 12 months of construction, the project marks an important milestone for regional connectivity, road safety and the local community.
The progression of the project from inception to the opening of the new realignment scheme was the result of a collaborative effort involving Kilkenny County Council, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Tramore House RDO, the appointed consultants EGIS, and the contractor, Fox Building & Engineering Ltd.
