Garden afternoon raises €3,000 for Wheelchair Association

Garden afternoon raised €3,000

The recent afternoon in the garden which was held in Henry and Ruby Millers beautiful garden in Bawnmore, Johnstown, was an outstanding success.

This was a fund raiser for the North Kilkenny Branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association and the total raised was €3,000.

Blessed with glorious weather, patrons enjoyed the well kept garden, tea, goodies, music and singing. The Millers would like to sincerely thank all those who helped especially their kind neighbours who baked, served teas and manned the traffic.

A very enjoyable afternoon was had by all who supported this worth while cause. Raffle winners were Mary Brennan, Margaret Maher, Norah Brennan, Martin Travers, Dick Brennan, Rachel Rice, Margaret Barnaville, Bertha Swift, Bridget Purcell, Bridgette Delaney, Rose Ryan, Kathleen Kumnig, Francis Dunne, Josie McCormack, Annie Walshe, Michael Molloy and Iris Cooke.
