Rest in Peace

The death has occurred of Bridget O'Shea (née Brennan) at her home at Hillcrest, Donaguile, on Tuesday, August 14. She went to her eternal reward just like she lived, her life ever so quietly and peacefully.

Her life revolved around her family and she was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bridget was a unique woman whose voice was never heard in a raised tone. She enjoyed gardening and roses were her favourite flower.

As her remains left the church for the final time it did so to the strains of "The Rose of Mooncoin" how appropriate for a loyal Kilkenny fan and one who never missed the Sunday Game and the analysis at Hillcrest.

She was laid to rest in the Parish Cemetery after Requiem Mass celebrated by Fr. Ian Doyle, Kiltown assisted by Msgr. Michael Ryan P.P. Castlecomer.

Bridget will be sadly missed by her husband James; sons, William (Kilkenny), Michael, Patrick and Martin ; sister Teresa (England), ; daughters-in-law Mary and Catherine, brothers-in-law Paddy, Brian, Martin and John, grandchildren Nicola, Mary, James, Jamie, Amy and Hannah, great-grandchildren Ruairí, Grace, Cillian and Kara, cousin Mary, nieces and nephews, close family and friends.
