Colin Ryan was well known and respected by all

The people of Freshford were saddened last week to hear of the passing of Colin Ryan late of the Green, Ballyragget and formerly of Woodview, Freshford.


Colin who was only in his mid 40s passed away at St.Lukes Hospital following a long illness, bravely borne. He was well known and respected by all who knew him.


A quiet, inoffensive and friendly gentleman. He worked for some time in Supervalu Ballyragget where he became popular and well known by all there and worked in local factory. His remains were removed from his home in Ballyragget on Saturday morning last for funeral mass in St.Patricks Church Ballyragget followed by burial in St.Lachtains Cemetary, Freshford.


Refreshments were served in the Community Hall Freshford which was kindly provided by Super Valu Ballyragget, The Café Ballyragget and served by local ladies. He is deeply mourned by his sons Joseph and Dylan, daughter Jade, his mother Marie, uncle, aunt, cousins and extended family and friends.
