Emergency services are at the scene
Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic incident on the Hebron Road roundabout in Kilkenny this afternoon.
A large container lorry has overturned on the busy section of ring road, and smoke is pouring from the vehicle. Staff from the nearby McDonalds have sprung into action, bringing fire extinguishers to put out the potential blaze.
Ambulance and gardaí have now arrived. It is not known yet if there are any injuries. Traffic is disrupted in the immediate area, with road users urged to steer clear at present. MORE PICURES OF THE INCIDENT HERE
