Irishman signs for NFL side Green Bay Packers
Irish-born American football player Daniel Whelan has signed for NFL outfit Green Bay Packers, according to his Instagram account.

The 23-year-old, who grew up in Enniskerry, County Wicklow before he moved to California when he was 13, had a spell with the New Orleans Saints last year before being released.
Whelan will now compete to be Packers' punter at an NFL training camp before the official NFL season starts in September.
Green Bay Packers have won 13 league championships and four Super Bowl titles during their history to date.
