They had steady halves of 46 and 47 with all four playing their part. The only poor holes on the card were the 5th and 6th where they recorded three pointers. They had four birdies with Sean Boland on the 4th, 10th and 18th and Sean Dowling birding the 14th.

Robert was out in 38 strokes and back in 39 for a 77 gross. He got off to a shaky start with a bogey on the first and a double on the second. He repaired the damage with birdies on the 5th, 7th and 12th.
Robert had two shots to spare from Morgan Walshe (17), who shot 67. Morgan is one the young up and coming golfers in the club. A feature of Sunday’s competition was the number of juvenile members who featured in the prizes with Kevin Power, Mark Power, Shane Mahony and Jeff Kealy also showing.
The gross was won by Eddie Power with 70 gross.
The three person team event on Monday was won by Pat Drennan (15), Stephen Drennan (9) and Tom Browne (18) with 89 points. Big numbers played over the weekend and if the weather continues there should have good numbers throughout the week up to the bank holiday Monday.
The ladies v par competition last Tuesday was won by Mary Leahy Bronwe (4) with 1 up. Mary had seven wins and six losses on the card for her 1 up. Mary was 1 up on the back nine. She won from Rose O’Neill (28), who also returned 1 up but was only all square for the back nine.
