NINETY-TWO golfers turned out to play in the Christmas mixed competition on Sunday.

Winners of the 13 hole four-person team event were Pat Walshe, Peter Dabinet, Mary Norton and Edith Ogilvie with a great score of 68 points. Second place went to Pat Collins, Peter Ryan, Ann Widger and Dorrie Lenihan while the team of Seamus Rochford, Michael O’Reilly, Pauline Cullinane and Joan Mannion were third.

All participants enjoyed a hot plate served up by Barry Joyce and his staff after the golf. The competition was the first official function for the two new captains, Seamus Rochford and Pauline Cullinane.
