New date for charity classic

TORRENTIAL rain forced the cancellation of the charity classic in aid of the L’Arche Community, Kilmoganny, at Mountain View GC on Friday.

TORRENTIAL rain forced the cancellation of the charity classic in aid of the L’Arche Community, Kilmoganny, at Mountain View GC on Friday.

A new date has been announced for the classic, which has now been rescheduled for Friday, June 29. The competition will be a four-person team event, with an entry fee of E100 per team.

CLUB DOUBLES - Thirty-five teams took part in the club doubles qualifier (fourball better ball) last weekend. With 16 teams to qualify Anthony McCormack and Paul Whelan were the winners on a countback with 45 points. Two teams on 41 points, which was the cut-off score, did not qualify.

Anthony and Paul will now represent the club in this year’s Holmpatrick Cup competition.
