The ladies 18 hole v par on May 21 was won by Catherine Griffin (20) on two up. Catherine won on the back nine from Mary Leahy Browne (4) also on 2 up.
Third was Francis Foley (24) all flat and the gross was won by Mags Cuddihy (8) on 9 down.
The senior men’s competition last week was won by Pat Foley (12), Paddy Witherow (17), Martin Treacy (22) Eamon Molloy (25) with 59 points. Second were Andy Hughes (18), Michael O’Reilly (19), Reay Brandon (20), Joe O’Driscoll (26) on 57 points.
Third were Jim Ryan (13) Willie B. Murphy (18), Peter McQuillan (24), Austin Kiely (23) on 55 points.
The senior ladies competition was won by Mary Prendergast, Breda Kavanagh, Teresa Brandon on 34 points. Second were Adrienne Walsh, Ann Gunning, Paula Kavanagh on 32 points.
Third and fourth places went to teams of Sheila Brennan, Josie Bolger, Mary Feighery, Josie McPhilips and Ann Bowen, Pauline O’Sullivan, Mary Gaffney with both teams returning 31 points.

Ladies inter-club - The ladies Junior Cup team (minimum handicap 8) took on Edenderry in Rathsallagh on May 22 and although better handicapped came up short and were defeated by 4/1.
Mags Cuddihy (8) lost on the 17th; Bridie McGarry (8) lost on the 16th; Mary Norton (11) was called in on the 19th; Niamh Kelly (11) lost on 16th; Phyl Doyle (12) called in on 17th.
The team was managed by Ann Widger and Ursula deLoughrey.
Men’s inter-club - The Junior Cup team (5 handicap singles) were in Birr for the area qualifier. They were leading qualifiers in the stroke play on Saturday morning and returned on Sunday morning for the match play. They defeated Mountrath in the semi-final but were defeated in the final by Birr.
The team was managed by Michael Grant and Tom Hickey. Panel - Patrick McKee, Brendan Power, Luke Kelly, Brian Crowdle, Rory MacEneaney, Jason Lawlor, Fergal Cantwell, Harry Duggan, Luke Donnelly.
The Pierce Purcell (foursomes handicap combination 27, minimum handicap 12) area qualifier on Saturday was in Wexford.
The team finished fifth. Only the top four qualified for matchplay.

The four best scores were 87, 92, 93 and 95. James Walsh and Seamus Rochford’s score of 87 was the third best score on the day from 75 pairs competing.

The Provincial Towns Cup team will take on Callan on Sunday at 4.30 with five matches in Callan and four in Kilkenny. Team managers Frank Dalton and Seamus Rochford will name their team later.
Club Matchplay - The second round of the men’s foursomes is due to be played by June 7 and the second round of the club mixed also by June 7.
The second round of the men’s singles match play is due for completion by 24.
The first round of the men’s fourball is due for completion by June 8.
Those on top of the draw in all the match play competitions are responsible for arranging the matches.
Fixture changes - Some fixture changes have been made to the diary printed.
The CBS Classic has changed to May 24; the SOS Classis is now on June 14.
The Intermediate Scratch Cup is on July 21 and has been swopped with the July monthly medal.
