THIS YEAR’S Captains’ Social will take centre-stage at Callan GC on Saturday, November 19.
Robert Woodcock and Eileen Cuddihy, captains of men’s and ladies sections respectively, invite all members to join them from 8pm on the night as they celebrate a successful year for the club.
Tickets are available from the front office and the bar and cost E20. There will be a three-course meal followed by entertainment by Sean Donnelly and Jim Maher.
It promises to be a great evening and one to look forward to.
MEETING - Members are reminded that the dates have been announced for the annual meetings at Callan GC.
The ladies annual meeting will be held on Friday, December 2. Members of the men’s section will hold theirs the following night (Saturday, December 3). That date will also see the presentation of the matchplay awards as well as the Player of the Year award.
Committee members are required for next year. The club would welcome volunteers from all sections of the club to nominate themselves for committees or sub committees. This can be done by contacting Margaret in the office or any committee member from 2011.
LOTTO - There was no winner of the club lotto jackpot. Numbers drawn were 22, 25 and 36. Lucky dip winners were Brendan Murphy, Murt Duggan and Andrew O’Sullivan.
This week’s jackpot is E1,450. The draw will be made in the clubhouse at 7pm tomorrow (Thursday).
