Two Kilkenny GAA clubs are in fighting mood, and they ready to do battle.

They will take to the boxing ring to sort out their difference, but it is all in a good cause.

On Saturday night in the Newpark Hotel the men and women from St Lachtain’s (Freshford) and St Patrick’s (Ballyragget) will go head to head in a ‘Battle of the Saints’ in a boxing tournament aimed at raising fund-raiser for both clubs.

Training, for the boxing that is, has been going well for the last couple of weeks. Now the hype is building and the representatives from both outfits are ready to jump into ring.

Tickets can be purchased from both clubs at €20 each, which includes a disco. Tickets will also be available on the night.
