A GREAT crowd enjoyed the Gala Bridge night at Castlecomer GC on Wednesday.

Players from local clubs were joined by card players from Carlow, Kildare and Tipperary, all contributing to a very successful night.

LADIES - The 18 hole foursomes competition (Australian Spoons qualifier) is still running. Golfers can enter their names on the relevant sheet in the locker room on relevant sheet. The nine hole competition continues until May 30. Format is two person scramble, with golfers able to play any day, any time). Times for Friday’s nine hole mixed competition, which will be held at 5pm, are still available on fixture booklets in the clubhouse.

BEGINNERS - Beginners lessons start today (Wednesday) at 6 30pm. Members, non members and students are welcome for this four-week session, which costs E40. Contact Helen Dunne, tel 087-2540726.
