Visitors nab Spring Classic spot

THE final qualifying round of the Spring Classic was held on Friday. Vincent Power, Christopher Power and Alan Byrne, visitors from Carrick-on-Suir GC, took the final qualifying spot with a great score of 90 points. The final has been pencilled in for Friday, April 1. Competitors will be notified in due time.

OPEN SINGLES - The popular Weekly Open Singles competition will begin on Thursday, April 7. Entry fee is E20 for visitors and E5 for members. A time sheet now open, with tee times available from 056-7726699.

LADIES - The Ladies Fun Day will be held on Friday. The format is a nine hole scramble. Golfers are asked to meet at 2pm for 2.45pm tee off. This will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony for all outstanding competitions. All prize-winners are asked to attend.

The weekly competition, which will be for one day only this week, will be held today (Wednesday). Draw times are 10am and 2pm.

DIARY - The Men’s Monthly Medal, with Golfer of the Year points available, begins this weekend. Members are also reminded that the race meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, will now be held on Saturday, April 2.
