THE men’s Open 18-hole singles played at Castlecomer golf club on Saturday and Sunday produced some very good scores.

THE men’s Open 18-hole singles played at Castlecomer golf club on Saturday and Sunday produced some very good scores.

Results - 1 Michael Manogue 38pts; 2 Eddie Kenny 38pts; gross Michael Buggy 32pts; Class 1 prize handicap 10 and under, Eoin Phelan Rathdowney 38pts; Class 2 prize handicap 11 to 18, Kieran Brennan 35pts; Class 3 prize handicap 19 and over, Patsy Brennan 32pts.

This men’s Open 18-hole singles will continue on Saturday and Sunday, and against on March 24/25 and March 31 and April 1.

LADIES: March 10/11, Open ladies 18 hole singles. Sponsor Joe Kehoe plumbing and heating.

INCENTIVE: Any new full member who joins Castlecomer golf club in 2012 may join for three years for the price of two years; 500 euro per year for the next three. Offer applies for 2012 applicants only.

Distance membership permanent residence now reduced from 70km to 50km is 325 euro.
