LADIES: Thirty lady members went on the annual outing organised by Vice Captain Helen Dunne to Mt Wolseley, Co. Carlow. The weather contributed to the day and the course was in excellent order.

The winner was Betty Byrne with 34 points while the Vice Captain had a very good score.

Many lady members also made the trip to Killeen Castle, Co Meath where they enjoyed the Solheim Cup. The win by the European team made the trip all the more enjoyable.

The Ladies Club was saddened by the passing of Jo Kelly last week. Jo was Lady Captain in 1975 and served for years as secretary of the ladies club. She is fondly remembered for her wit and natural ability to entertain.
