MEMBERS of the New Ross seniors club had a most enjoyable outing in the Seniors Alliance at the picturesque Gold Coast Club last week. The course was in immaculate condition and the greens were manicured to the last and were the best they have played for some time.

A stiff north westerly wind helped golfers greatly on the first nine, but it was in their faces on the homeward journey. John Kennedy was in the frame and with a little luck might have been the overall winner where the standard scratch was 37 points.

Back home players resume in the normal four person team event on Thursday. The draw will be at the usual time of 10.40am.

On Thursday, May 3 the club welcomes friends from Faithlegg on their annual visit. The starting times will be confirmed next week as well as the results from Dungarvan (April 23).
