THERE was a good turn out for the Open competitions played at Borris golf club over the weekend, and scoring was good.

Results: Open seniors, 1 Seán Treacy (20) 40pts; 2 Paul Murray (14) 39pts; 3 Johnny Murphy (10) 39pts.

Open two person team, 1 John Byrne (18) and J.J. Nolan (23) 48pts; 2nMick Dillon (12) and Billy Dunne (17) 46pts; 3 David Doyle (13) and Brendan Rowan (13) 45pts.

Open four person team, 1 Sean Hanafin (17), George Watters (17), Michael Dundon (19) and Des Murphy (24) 99pts; 2 Michael O’Neill (12), Joseph Reddy (16), Dermot Kelly (16) and Darragh Kelly (19) 98pts; 3 Colm Sheanan (12), Kilkenny, David Holmes (12), Pat McGrath (13) and William Dermody (16) 98pts.

Meanwhile, the junior foursomes team qualified for the Leinster finals in the Heritage golf club on Sunday, July 22.
