MEMBERS of Kilkenny golf club were reminded that all annual subscriptions are due for payment by Thursday.
Sunday’s PGA tankard was cancelled due to frost. With most of the men’s competitions from now on being played over
Saturday and Sunday, the club reminded players that the green markers will be in play on Saturday for casual golf.
The white markers will be in play for the competition on Saturday and Sunday. This is important particularly if those playing casual golf on Saturday intend playing in the competition on Sunday.
Saturday’s crosscard was a four person team champagne scramble over 13 holes. The winners with 72 points were Rob
O’Shea (9), Michael Butler (15), Anthony Cleere (5) and Billy Burke (9). They had six birdies with Anthony scoring
on the 4th, 8th and 14th; Billy on the 7th and 12th and Rob on the 2nd.

BRS BOOKING SYSTEM: The club has added a new function to the BRS booking facility which will allow members place their names on a standby list if a timesheet is full. They will be able to place their names on a particular slot on the waiting list, eg 9.30 to 11.30 and if a slot becomes free between those times their name will automatically default to the vacant slot and they will receive an email informing them that they now have a slot on the timesheet.
For this function to be successful it will be important that members who place their names on the standby list check their
emails or log into the timesheet to check if they have received a slot. The club will roll out it out from this weekend and monitor how it is working.
ST PATRICK’S NIGHT: The Social Committee intend running a function in the club on St Patrick’s night. Full details next week.
