Even the occasional grey sky couldn’t dampen the spirits of all who participated in the annual Urlingford Cross Border Golf Classic, at Rathdowney Golf Club last Friday and Saturday.
This year Urlingford Town Team (UTT) and Emeralds GAA Club came together to organise the event as a fundraiser to support a number of projects including the Exit 4 Remote Working Hub, scheduled to open in Urlingford this autumn.
Michael Doyle, chairman of the GAA club, and Dympna Hayes, chair of UTT see this as an important collaboration.
“There is a real sense that this golf classic is for the community as a whole. There is one team, and that’s Team Urlingford,” said Mr Doyle.
