Kilkenny Chamber held its monthly Chamber Chat in UPMC Nowlan Park last week.
Hosted by Kilkenny GAA and UPMC, the event saw a large audience attend to hear Senior Vice President, UPMC International (and local man), David Beirne speak about the origins of UPMC in the US and its journey to providing healthcare in Ireland.
David told the attentive group that UPMC sees a bright future in Ireland — and particularly in Kilkenny.
In Ireland, UPMC has a network of four hospitals, two cancer centres, five sports medicine clinics, an outreach centre and a nationwide concussion network. It works closely with the HSE to help improve access to care for patients across the country. UPMC’s most recent acquisition was the Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry, Dublin, a centre of excellence in orthopaedic care.
Chamber Chats are informal networking events that take place every month – they are free to attend, and are open to Kilkenny Chamber members and non-members.
