A return to a community day out from an almost forgotten age, was enjoyed in Graignamanagh last Saturday.
Cushendale Woolen Mills hosted the second, annual sheep sheering event in the mill yard. CLICK NEXT FOR LOTS MORE PHOTOGRAPHS!

With Cushendale’s own Galway Sheep herd centre stage, the day was also enjoyed by all the humans who came along to enjoy the music and family entertainment.

Galway Sheep are Ireland’s only indigenous breed, favoured for their wool. The thick, high quality wool is perfect for processing into yarns and textiles and is the wool of choice at Cushendale.
The wool from Saturday will be cleaned, dyed and woven into blankets in Graignamanagh.
